TranslucentTB is a free desktop enhancement utility that will allow you to change the appearance of the Windows taskbar depending on the current task at hand. It can change the transparency of the taskbar.

The application uses very little in terms of system resources and it includes several advanced settings which can be defined in text-based configuration files. You can access the settings from the system tray and selecting the setting of TranslucentTB you'd like to change.

There are several different special effects included with the package, not least of being the artistic ones which can blur the taskbar, adding a foggy type effect. Of course, the opaqueness or transparency of the taskbar is also an option to customize.

All in all, TranslucentTB is a really cool tool which adds some nice visual effects to Windows which are not options built-in; it's a bit of personalization many users would appreciate.

Yes. It can run on a PC with Windows 11 or Windows 10. Previous versions of the OS shouldn't be a problem with Windows 8 and Windows 7 having been tested. It comes in both 32-bit and 64-bit downloads.
